Escuela de Fútbol

One of our primary social interventions at ONG Vamos is our Soccer School, which takes place twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Between 50 and 60 kids and teens from 5 to 17 yrs old participate. In addition to sports training we form values, teach good decision making skills, and work to build good character.

Beyond soccer, our mission is to provide emotional support and life tools rooted in the values and principles of the Gospel. Our goal is to empower Children and youth to thrive within a hostile and often aggressive environment, shaped by the high levels of crime and drugs in the neighborhoods where they live.

This year was extra special because a few of your students turned 18 and have started on new paths of life. Some are pursuing work while others are continuing their education. It was a bittersweet moment of goodbyes and sending them off to a bright future!
